About

I offer space and time for talking, feeling, moving and sense making. My presence is empathic, non-judgmental and relational. I am curious about the issues you bring and how I can support you to understand your life more fully.

I am interested how our relationship in the therapy room, reflects ways we relate to others in the world.

I encourage a therapeutic relationship that shifts fluidly between our present, the past and the future.

Gestalt offers a model of psychotherapy that understands the world as a dynamic, interwoven network. Our encounters with each other, in words, gestures and sensations, exist in relation to our cultures, backgrounds, genders, race and age. I embrace a contemporary perspective of Gestalt psychotherapy that holds the relational process between us as core to all that happens. Noticing how we impact each other in dialogue and gesture, at the meeting between us, draws attention to the therapeutic issues that might need to be addressed.

Gestalt psychotherapy orientates towards existential philosophy and I embrace core themes of living and dying, attending to how psychotherapy supports us, and gives us tools to embrace the uncertainties of being alive.

I work with a wide range of issues including gender and sexuality, loss, anxiety, bereavement, depressing, trauma, ageing, , self-worth, cancer survival, body mind dis-connections and family relationships.

Client Testimonials

Empathy is anchored in the experience of our own body, since it is this experience that enables us to perceive another person … who is just as embodied as we are ourselves
